Forever 34 was born from love, loss, healing, and the belief that even in life's hardest seasons, something beautiful can grow.

For as long as I can remember, I loved retail. As a teenager and throughout college, I worked in stores and dreamed of one day owning a boutique of my own. Life took me in a different direction, and I spent the next 30 years as an educator, serving students and families in my community. While I loved that calling, the dream of owning a boutique always remained tucked away in the back of my mind.

Everything changed when our family lost Jake. Like so many families who experience unimaginable loss, Sidney and I found ourselves searching for a way forward. We missed Jake every moment of every day, and we longed for something that would allow us to honor his memory while creating a new purpose together.

The idea for Forever 34 began with Sidney's desire to build something meaningful of her own. As we talked, dreamed, and planned together, we realized this boutique could become more than a business. It could be a place where we poured our hearts, celebrated Jake's life, and carried his legacy forward.

The number 34 was Jake's number, but it has become so much more. It reminds us of the way he lived — with joy, confidence, kindness, and a genuine love for people. Every day, Forever 34 gives us an opportunity to keep a piece of him close and share his spirit with others.

This boutique has been a healing journey for both of us. It has given us a way to work side by side, support one another, and transform our grief into something meaningful. While nothing will ever replace Jake, Forever 34 allows his memory to remain woven into our daily lives and into every customer experience we create.
